Relevance and sustainability
What precisely is meant by ‘relevance’ and ‘sustainability’ of the project?
Answer: Please refer to the evaluation grids included for the Concept Note and the Full Application Form evaluations in the Call’s Guidelines in Chapter 2.3 ‘Evaluation and Selection of Applications’.
‘Relevance’ is referring to the relation of the proposal with the scope of the ACP Science and Technology Programme and with other policies and initiatives in line with it, but also to the needs and constraints of the area where the project will be implemented and the identified target groups and final beneficiaries. This analysis of the current situation is an important part of the proposal description.
‘Sustainability’ is referring to the management of risks during the implementation of the project in order to ensure that the project will reach its stated achievements. It also refers to the results in terms of financial sustainability (how will the activities be financed after the end of the project?) and institutional sustainability (will the participating institutions be able to continue the activities after the end of the project?).
