Renewable Energy and Sustainability
Studying the economic, social and environmental impacts of Renewable energy systems with a focus on bio-energy systems, bio-fuel production and solarthermal power systems. Current work is on bagasse electricity, biodiesel from soya beans and solarthermal system modelling. There is a desire to extend this work in collaboration with new partners.

Hi,
I am from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. We are now in a process to write application for funding under ACP Science and Technology Programme in the Energy field. We are looking for the partners from the African side.
If you are interested, please let me know about your institution, and specific interest in the energy field and contact details.
With regards
Pramod
Greetings,
There are two streams of interest. One is in solarthermal power stations modelling and sustainability assessment. The other is on biofuels (biodiesel and bioethal) potential and sustainability assessment in SOuth Africa. We are also writing a proposal, but will be happy to take part in your efforts there. What is your focus.
Charles Mbohwa
Pramod,
We have reviewed the idea of developing the proposal and have come to the conclusion that we currently do not have the institutional capacity to write a proposal. We are therefore happy to partner your efforts in developing the proposal. If that is fine with you, can we proceed and work on that. Kindly e-mail me on cmbohwa@uj.ac.za to take the process forward.
Charles
Hi Pramod,
Our specific area in the energy field is Biodiesel Production especially using Jatropha and Ethanol production from Cassava. We’ll be glad to submit our part of the proposal and jointly forge away forward on how best we could proceed. Pilgrim can submit a bullet concept that you could review to determine whether we can get on the same page in the proposal development process. We look forward to hearing from you.
