Regional Information Days in Africa, the Pacific and the Caribbean

The ACP Secretariat is happy to announce that it is organizing regional information days in the ACP regions. The objective of these meetings is to inform in detail about the Programme, this Call for Proposals and how to participate by submitting a proposal. Participants will also be able to ask questions in order to help them prepare their proposal.

These events are open to participants interested in submitting a proposal to the Programme particularly from ACP national or regional science and technology organizations, research institutions, universities, government ministries or public institutions dealing with research policies,  ACP national research networks, relevant civil society or private sector actors; regional science and technology institutions,  ACP science and technology networks; and the Commission of the African Union and regional ACP organisations or groupings such as ECOWAS, SADC or CARICOM among others.

The information days will all take place from 10:00 hrs.  through 16:00 hrs.

on 18 February 2009 at the Laucala Campus of the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji,

on 19 February 2009 at the Ghion Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and

on 28 February 2009 at the Education Lecture Theater of the University of Guyana, Georgetown, Guyana.

Neither the ACP Secretariat nor the Programme can unfortunately assume any travel or accommodation costs for the participants.
